Andre Waters, a former Philadelphia Eagles player, committed suicide at age 44. Having known Andre, it shook me to the core. I met Andre when I signed him to his first NFL contract in 1984. He was a self-confident and enthusiastic young playereven though he was a free agent and had been passed over in the NFL draft.
